Field Engineer – Network Installation & Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Field Engineer to join our network team in Port Harcourt. The role involves installing, configuring and maintaining wireless and microwave infrastructure for both residential and enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Perform wireless and microwave network installations, including routers, switches, access points and modems.
• Conduct site surveys to evaluate feasibility and signal strength for new deployments.
• Carry out fiber splicing, termination and OTDR testing.
• Diagnose and resolve network outages, latency issues and equipment failures.
• Execute RF testing, power level checks and interference analysis.
• Collaborate with the NOC to address escalated technical problems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ISP infrastructure, including fiber optic cables and microwave links.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly field activity and BTS uptime reports.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of relevant experience in telecom field engineering.
• Minimum qualification: HND (or equivalent).
• Entry‑level candidate with a strong technical mindset.
