About the role
We are looking for a Fashion Business Research Analyst & Editorial Writer to create high‑quality research, analysis, and editorial content focused on African fashion and creative industries. This remote position offers the chance to shape a proprietary intelligence hub that will become a leading source of fashion insights across Africa and the diaspora.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth research on fashion trends, retail, manufacturing, luxury, and e‑commerce across key African markets.
- Write analytical and editorial articles for a high‑end, industry‑focused audience.
- Produce comprehensive market intelligence reports that translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Interview designers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to gather primary‑source information.
- Identify emerging opportunities and disruptive trends within the fashion ecosystem.
- Support the development of flagship reports, including data collection, analysis, and drafting.
Required profile
- Experience in journalism, market research, business analysis, or fashion communications.
- Exceptional writing and editing abilities with a portfolio of published work.
- Strong understanding of fashion, lifestyle, luxury, or creative industries.
- Passion for African fashion, culture, and economic development.
Required skills
- Proficiency with data‑visualisation tools such as Canva, Flourish, and Tableau.
- Familiarity with trend‑forecasting platforms like Google Trends and WGSN.
