Family Physician

About the role

The Family Physician will join ABUJA CLINICS LTD in Abuja to deliver comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages. Working on‑site full‑time, you will be responsible for health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis and management of both acute and chronic conditions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, order and interpret investigations, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
• Manage urgent and emergency presentations, stabilise patients and initiate emergency care as needed.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and ensure continuity of care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Document all clinical encounters accurately in medical records.
• Participate in clinical meetings, quality‑improvement activities and community health initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full registration and a current practising licence.
• Residency or postgraduate training in Family Medicine or equivalent (highly desirable).
• Strong clinical expertise in primary care and urgent care across all age groups.
• Commitment to ethical practice, continuous professional development and adherence to clinical guidelines.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
