Experienced Unit Manager and Financial Advisor

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site position in Lagos combines unit management and financial advisory responsibilities within Heirs Insurance Group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of financial advisors, set performance targets and monitor results.
• Develop and implement sales strategies, oversee prospecting and client acquisition.
• Provide training, mentoring and performance reviews for team members.
• Meet with clients to assess financial goals, recommend insurance and investment solutions, and conduct portfolio reviews.
• Prepare reports, maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimise service delivery.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in financial planning and advisory.
• Solid foundation in finance and investments.
• Practical experience in retirement planning.
• Proven experience leading and managing a sales or advisory team.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Track record in insurance, banking or financial services; life and general insurance experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or related field; professional certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA) are advantageous.
• Comfortable working on‑site in Lagos with a commitment to ethical and compliant advisory practices.
