Experienced Tax Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Tax Manager to join our tax advisory team. The role involves delivering high‑quality tax advice to a diverse client base, overseeing complex projects and supporting business development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist clients in evaluating tax positions and provide advice based on current tax laws, regulations and the firm’s responsible tax practice code.
• Manage multiple tax projects simultaneously, covering a range of issues and jurisdictions.
• Review corporate and multinational business structures to identify tax and operational inefficiencies and propose planning opportunities.
• Deliver tailored tax solutions that address each client’s specific needs.
• Drive business development and contribute to the firm’s strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tax authorities and regulators at senior levels.
• Promote innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery.
• Supervise, coach and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of tax consulting experience, preferably within the CIM or FSI sectors.
• Previous experience at a Big 4 firm is an advantage.
• Second class (upper division) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from an accredited university.
• Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
• Strong business development, financial, analytical and accounting capabilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High commercial awareness, project management ability and client‑focused mindset.
