Experienced Grill Chef – Wuse 2, Abuja

About the role

We are a growing restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja, looking for an experienced Grill Chef to lead our grilling station. You will be responsible for preparing a wide range of high‑quality grilled fish, poultry, goat meat and barbecue items while maintaining consistent taste and strict hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and grill fish (catfish, croaker, tilapia), chicken, turkey, goat meat and other barbecue items.
• Apply marinades, seasoning, sauces and spice blends to ensure consistent flavour.
• Operate charcoal, gas and smokeless grills efficiently.
• Monitor food temperatures and uphold safe cooking standards.
• Assemble grilled platters and custom orders accurately during peak periods.
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and kitchen safety at all times.
• Assist with grill inventory management and coordinate with kitchen staff for smooth service.
• Care for and maintain grilling equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a griller in a restaurant, grill house or similar food‑service environment.
• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, marinades and local peppered recipes.
• Ability to work quickly and stay organized under pressure.
• Team‑player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
