Executive Assistant to the Managing Director

About the role

Source Microfinance Bank, a fast-paced start-up microfinance bank focused on re-inventing banking through innovation and technology, is looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to its Managing Director. The role provides high-level executive, administrative and operational support in a digital microfinance banking environment. Hands-on experience supporting a C-suite executive is required.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule the MD's meetings, appointments and events efficiently, avoiding conflicts and optimising their time
• Monitor and prioritise emails, filtering or delegating unnecessary ones
• Support the MD on projects by coordinating activities, gathering data and helping with project management
• Improve the efficiency of administrative processes and streamline tasks
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff, clients and partners
• Manage the general administration of the executive offices and other designated spaces, and oversee other support staff and services
• Prepare reports assigned by the Managing Director and carry out other tasks as assigned

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Prior experience supporting an MD/CEO in a digital financial services or microfinance banking environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; self-starter
• Analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
• Relevant formal education

Required skills

• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other reporting tools, with the ability to produce executive-level presentations and reports
• Vast knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, note-taking, report preparation and presentation
• Experience with tools such as Microsoft Teams is important
