About the role
We are looking for competent English language teachers to join a secondary school in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on a full‑time, on‑site basis. The role involves planning and delivering engaging English lessons, preparing teaching materials and regularly assessing learner progress.
Key responsibilities
- Design and deliver lesson plans that develop reading, writing, speaking and listening skills.
- Prepare teaching resources and classroom materials.
- Assess student work, grade assignments and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance and performance.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to improve instructional practices.
Required profile
- Strong English teaching ability across different proficiency levels.
- Relevant qualification such as NCE, B.A. English, B.A. Communication Arts, HND Mass Communication, or B.A. Linguistics.
- Effective communication and lesson‑planning skills.
- Prior classroom or tutoring experience is an advantage.
- Ability to manage a classroom and use basic educational technology.
