Engineering Manager

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the company’s engineering and manufacturing functions, driving strategic and operational excellence across design, production, maintenance and continuous improvement. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee engineering, maintenance, production support and technical operations across the business.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve productivity, quality, reliability and operational efficiency.
• Manage engineering projects from concept and design through execution and commissioning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis and other methodologies.
• Collaborate with Production, Operations, Quality, Procurement and Commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Support product development, design optimisation, process improvements and manufacturing innovation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Production, Mechatronics engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial leadership role.
• Proven experience in manufacturing, industrial production, fabrication, engineering services or FMCG environments.
• Strong knowledge of engineering operations, maintenance management, project management and production systems.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Professional engineering certification or membership of a recognised engineering body is an advantage.
