DevOps Engineer

About the role

Helium Health is looking for a DevOps Engineer to design, implement and maintain complex infrastructures in a fast‑paced production environment. The role requires solid experience in continuous integration, continuous deployment, application performance monitoring and alerting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product management, operations, quality and software engineers to deliver the right solution.
• Configure and develop against remote infrastructure in AWS.
• Design and own the DevOps CI/CD tooling and platform roadmap.
• Integrate DevOps with infrastructure and automation orchestration platforms using established architectural patterns.
• Support the development team with cloud‑based infrastructure configuration, deployment and monitoring.
• Ensure services are hardened and security best practices are followed during automated CI/CD processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of professional DevOps experience.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to readable, well‑designed, well‑tested software.
• Experience incorporating security best practices into the SDLC.

Required skills

• Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation and microservice deployment.
• Python and Bash scripting.
• Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Prometheus, Grafana and Loki for monitoring, dashboards and alerting.
• AWS and Azure cloud platforms.
• Git, Jenkins and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef or Puppet.
• Relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and key‑value stores (Redis).
