Electrician – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

The Electrician will join the hotel engineering team to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all building utilities operate safely. This full‑time, onsite position supports both guestroom and back‑of‑house equipment in a Four Points by Sheraton property.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room systems, including cleaning, lubrication and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and other guestroom items.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and clean work areas thoroughly.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before performing any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs and maintain sprinkler systems.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting; hotel engineering experience a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, reaching overhead and moving equipment.

• Electrical troubleshooting and repair (switches, outlets, lamps).
• Plumbing maintenance (unclogging drains, toilet repairs).
• HVAC maintenance (air‑conditioning and refrigeration).
• Pneumatic/electronic control systems.
• Basic carpentry and surface preparation (painting, drywall, wood trim).
