Electrical Engineer for Construction and Real Estate Projects

About the role

Casalavoro Limited is seeking a results‑driven Electrical Engineer to lead electrical installations, maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting across its construction and real‑estate projects in Abuja. The role ensures all electrical systems meet approved specifications, safety regulations and project timelines.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical installations for residential, commercial and luxury real‑estate projects, reviewing drawings, specifications and coordinating with civil, mechanical and plumbing teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections, test installations before commissioning, document findings and ensure prompt rectification of defects.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, develop preventive maintenance schedules and oversee repairs of components such as generators, transformers, inverters and solar systems.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian electrical codes, building regulations and health‑safety requirements, identifying hazards and implementing corrective measures.
• Prepare bills of quantities, cost estimates and monitor material usage to control waste and budget adherence.
• Coordinate contractors, technicians and suppliers, verify material specifications and provide technical guidance to site personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction, real‑estate development or building services.
• Proven experience supervising electrical installations on building projects and strong knowledge of Nigerian electrical standards.
• Professional registration or membership with bodies such as COREN or NSE is an advantage.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in electrical drawings, load calculations, power distribution, lighting systems and protection systems.
• Hands‑on experience with generators, transformers, inverters and solar power installations.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project coordination abilities.
