Electrical Engineer – Design, Development & Team Lead

About the role

The Electrical Engineer will lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems supporting R&D and product development at Dangote Petroleum & Petrochemicals. This senior position involves collaborating with sensor R&D, mechanical, software, and supply chain teams to ensure designs meet requirements and transition smoothly to mass production.

Key responsibilities

• Create electrical systems and components for power systems, household appliances, and electronic devices.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for all electrical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for boiler‑related failures and performance issues.
• Mentor and train engineering staff, fostering continuous improvement.
• Prepare and maintain operational documentation, including performance reports and compliance records.

Required profile

• BSc or HND in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in boiler design, operation, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Membership with COREN, NSE, or other recognized engineering professional bodies.
