Editorial / Publishing Manager

About the role

The client, a publishing company based in Ibadan, is looking for an experienced Editorial/Publishing Manager to lead the end‑to‑end publishing process, from content development through production and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full publishing cycle, ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency of all materials.
• Lead and coordinate editorial, production and publishing teams.
• Develop and implement publishing strategies aligned with business goals.
• Manage publishing schedules, budgets and production timelines.
• Collaborate with authors, editors, designers, printers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor industry trends and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in publishing or a related field.
• Strong editorial judgment and project‑management capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in publishing, English, communications, journalism or a related discipline (preferred).
