Dredge Master – Dredging & Land Reclamation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Dredge Master to lead dredging and land reclamation operations for KG LIMITED in Lagos. The role involves commanding a cutter suction dredger, ensuring safe and efficient execution of marine works, and coordinating on‑site crews.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maneuver a cutter suction dredger in coastal and inland projects.
• Utilise navigation and depth‑measurement systems to maintain precise dredging tracks.
• Supervise and coordinate dredging crews, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Interpret project drawings, specifications and work plans to align operations with client requirements.
• Maintain accurate operational logs, reports and maintenance documentation.
• Respond to operational issues or emergencies promptly and effectively.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience operating cutter suction dredgers.
• Strong technical knowledge of dredging, land reclamation processes and vessel handling.
• Proven leadership and team communication abilities.
• Thorough understanding of marine safety, risk management and environmental compliance.
• Relevant maritime or engineering certification; dredge master licence preferred.
• Experience in Nigerian or similar coastal environments.
