Dispensing Pharmacist

About the role

The Dispensing Pharmacist is responsible for providing medicines and medical commodities to beneficiaries, offering patient counselling, and maintaining accurate stock documentation. The role requires adherence to national and international standards for pharmaceutical management.

Key responsibilities

• Dispense medicines to beneficiaries, provide counselling, and record consumption.
• Issue medicines to wards, maintain distribution records, and generate replenishment requests.
• Track expiry dates, apply FEFO policy, and report any irregularities promptly.
• Prepare periodic inventory reports, including narcotic and psychotropic consumption, for regulatory authorities.
• Supervise junior pharmacy staff and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent education and experience).
• Minimum 3 years of dispensing experience and registration with the Ministry of Health.
• Basic proficiency in English and knowledge of national/regional languages.
• Strong interpersonal skills, high confidentiality, and ability to work in a team.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
