Dispatch Rider

About the role

APxpress Logistics is seeking a full‑time Dispatch Rider to join its fast‑paced delivery team in Lagos. The rider will be responsible for picking up and delivering packages to customers, following assigned routes and ensuring safe handling of items.

Key responsibilities

• Collect packages from the dispatch office and deliver them to customers according to scheduled routes.
• Confirm delivery details with recipients and obtain proof of delivery where required.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatch office regarding progress, incidents or delays.
• Keep the motorcycle or delivery vehicle in good working condition and report any maintenance needs.
• Adhere to traffic regulations, company safety policies and delivery procedures to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Provide courteous and professional service to customers at each delivery touchpoint.

Required profile

• Strong road navigation and route‑planning abilities with a good understanding of local traffic rules.
• Reliable time‑management and organisational skills to handle multiple deliveries and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills for interacting with clients and the dispatch team.
• Basic record‑keeping ability for documenting deliveries, payments and received items.
• Valid motorcycle (or relevant vehicle) licence with a clean driving record.
• Physical fitness to work outdoors for extended periods and in varying weather conditions.
