Dispatch Rider – Delivery & Customer Service

About the role

The Dispatch Rider is responsible for delivering items, documents and packages to customers while ensuring accurate order verification and inventory control. This position combines outdoor and indoor delivery tasks, requiring strong communication with customers and timely, safe transportation of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Inform customers about item availability, shipment dates, methods and current status, and answer related queries.
• Verify delivery addresses by contacting customers before dispatch.
• Pick up items, documents or bulky packages and deliver them safely and on schedule.
• Collect payment for purchased items at the point of delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, expenses and inventory.

Required profile

• Minimum Secondary School Leaving Certificate.
• Proven experience as a dispatch rider or in a similar delivery role.
• Familiarity with local routes and a passion for motorcycling.
• Strong communication, reading and writing abilities.
• Organizational, multitasking and pressure‑handling skills.
• Good numeracy for handling delivery and expense records.
• Polite demeanor and ability to get along with customers and team members.
