Director of Nursing

About the role

The Director of Nursing will lead nursing services at Nikea Specialist Hospital, shaping clinical standards and driving excellence in patient care across the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and oversight for all nursing departments.
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance, patient safety, infection prevention and quality improvement frameworks.
• Develop and mentor nursing leaders, fostering a culture of continuous professional development.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
• Lead accreditation and regulatory initiatives to maintain high standards of care.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Midwife (RM) with a valid practising licence.
• Bachelor of Nursing Science (B.NSc.) – a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 10 years of post‑qualification experience, including at least 5 years in a senior nursing leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams in a hospital setting.
