Director of Marketing – Natural Gas Products

About the role

The Director of Marketing will lead the strategic development and execution of marketing and commercial initiatives to drive adoption of natural gas products (LNG, CNG, and NGLs) across Nigeria. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role focuses on demand creation, customer acquisition, market expansion, and revenue growth across industrial, commercial, power, and mobility sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a national marketing strategy for LNG, CNG, and piped gas, prioritising target sectors such as manufacturing, power generation, transport, telecoms and FMCG.
• Lead customer acquisition efforts, build a pipeline of industrial and commercial customers, and support negotiations of Gas Sales Agreements.
• Craft clear value propositions and sector‑specific solutions that position natural gas as a cost‑effective, cleaner alternative to diesel and fuel oil.
• Oversee brand positioning, marketing campaigns, digital presence and thought‑leadership initiatives; represent the company at industry forums and government engagements.
• Engage regulators, industry bodies, EPC contractors, OEMs and financing partners to facilitate customer conversion and support gas infrastructure projects.
• Develop pricing strategies, monitor sales performance, margins and profitability, and establish KPIs for market penetration and revenue growth.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain and engineering teams to align supply capabilities with market demand and mentor the marketing and commercial team.

Required profile

• Deep knowledge of the Nigerian gas value chain and the broader mid‑stream energy market.
• Strong commercial instincts and experience in energy or infrastructure markets.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders, including regulators, government agencies and industry partners.
• Leadership experience in building and managing high‑performing marketing and commercial teams.
