Direct Sales Agent - Digital Payments

About the role

FMR CONSULT is recruiting Direct Sales Agents to support customer acquisition and revenue growth in the digital payments sector. The role is primarily field-based, with a hybrid arrangement of one day in the office per week, and is based in Lekki, Lagos. Candidates must have prior experience with OPay, PalmPay or Moniepoint and a solid understanding of merchant acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage potential business clients such as SMEs, retail stores, hospitality outlets and corporate clients within assigned territories.
• Promote and sell digital payment solutions, including collection and payout services.
• Conduct product demonstrations and explain features and benefits to prospective merchants.
• Support merchants through onboarding, KYC documentation and account activation.
• Achieve monthly merchant acquisition and activation targets.
• Maintain daily sales records in CRM tools or reporting platforms.
• Provide post-onboarding support to retain customers.
• Gather and report market intelligence, customer feedback and competitor activity.

Required profile

• Minimum of OND/HND/BSc in any discipline.
• 2-3 years of direct sales experience in the FinTech industry.
• Previous experience with OPay, PalmPay or Moniepoint is mandatory.
• Proven experience in merchant acquisition, field sales and customer onboarding.
• Good knowledge of the Lagos business landscape.

• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills; self-motivated and target-driven.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.
• Digital literacy: smartphone apps, WhatsApp and CRM tools.

What we offer

• Salary of N200,000 to N250,000 per month (net) plus commission.
• Full-time position with a hybrid, field-based schedule.
