DevOps Intern – NYSC (Abuja)

About the role

eHealth4everyone is seeking a motivated DevOps Intern to support the design, deployment, and automation of its digital health platforms. The intern will work closely with developers, system operators, and the IT team to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient delivery of services.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy product updates, patches, and fixes across staging and production environments.
• Implement and enforce DevOps best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Automate operational processes, including database backup, restoration, and application deployment.
• Develop monitoring tools and scripts to improve system visibility and reduce errors.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of production incidents and maintain detailed logs of resolutions.
• Research, develop, and integrate software components with internal back‑end systems.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Six months of hands‑on experience with cloud technologies.
• Strong understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with load‑balancing, IT service management, and version control.

Required skills

• Shell scripting (Bash, PowerShell)
• Git and other version‑control tools
• CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, CircleCI)
• Configuration management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible)
• Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Python, Vue.js, Node.js application deployment
• Relational database administration
