Depot Accountant

About the role

Jawa International Limited is seeking a competent, experienced, and detail‑oriented Depot Accountant to manage and oversee the accounting and financial operations of its depot in Suleja, Niger State.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records for all depot transactions and prepare daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Reconcile bank, customer and general ledger accounts, monitor inventory movements and verify sales, receipts and payments.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian tax and statutory requirements, prepare schedules for management accounts and support audits.
• Maintain internal controls over cash, inventory and receivables, conduct periodic stock and cash reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; ICAN or ACCA qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing or distribution.
• Residency in Suleja, Niger State and preferred age 30–40 years.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Tally ERP or Sage.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory compliance requirements.
