Data Research Analyst

About the role

The Data Research Analyst will support SSHAI’s research and programme evaluation activities on a part‑time, remote basis. You will collect, clean and organise data related to sickle cell disease and healthcare access, turning raw information into actionable insights for programme design, monitoring and advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Gather data from literature, surveys, and partner organisations.
• Clean, validate and maintain databases using Excel or Google Sheets.
• Perform statistical analysis with SPSS, R or Python.
• Prepare summary reports and visualisations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop data collection tools and support volunteers in data gathering.
• Contribute to grant proposals, presentations and publications.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Interest in global health, health equity and sickle‑cell disease.
• Background in public health, epidemiology, social sciences or data science is preferred.
