Data Quality and Technology Manager

About the role

The Data Quality and Technology Manager will provide technical leadership for the design, deployment, management, and quality assurance of digital data systems supporting a nationwide ITN campaign. Reporting to the Project Manager with a dotted‑line to the M&E Director, the role oversees integration of data quality, ICT4D, electronic data collection, real‑time monitoring, dashboards, and geospatial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, configuration, testing, deployment and maintenance of digital data platforms such as Digit Technology, KoboToolbox, ODK, and others.
• Develop automated validation rules, conduct daily data quality reviews, and resolve issues across settlement‑level micro‑planning, household registration, ITN distribution, logistics, and verification.
• Produce and maintain real‑time dashboards, daily and weekly analytical reports, and geospatial maps to guide supervision and resource allocation.
• Coordinate phone configuration, software upgrades, remote and on‑site technical support, and troubleshoot synchronization or device failures.
• Develop training materials and train national, state, LGA and field staff on digital applications, data synchronization, GPS use, dashboard interpretation and data quality standards.
• Ensure data security, manage user permissions, maintain secure server backups and comply with data protection policies.

Required profile

• Master’s (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, GIS, Data Science, M&E or related field.
• Minimum 7 + years experience in digital health data management and supporting nationwide public‑health campaigns.
• Proven experience managing electronic data collection platforms (Digit Technology, Ipolongo, RedRose, KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, CommCare).
