Data Analyst – Sales & Analytics

About the role

A Data Analyst reviews statistics to help the company make better business decisions. The role involves collecting statistical analyses, designing data administration policies, and implementing programs that improve the organisation’s bottom line while ensuring data is easily accessible for internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Build reporting and analytics to support sales activity and recommend process improvements.
• Ensure stored data is easily accessible to internal and external teams.
• Respond to staff inquiries and information requests in a timely manner.
• Work closely with management to create data strategies that support modelling.
• Assist in strategies to increase the company’s customer base.
• Provide a foundation for product and service innovation by analysing customer behaviour and market feedback.
• Optimize inventory turnover, maximise wholesale margins and track regional performance.
• Identify cross‑functional collaboration opportunities.
• Remove corrupted data and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Degree (HND/B.Sc/B.Ed) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or Information Management.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑motivated and results‑driven.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• SQL (Structured Query Language) for querying relational databases.
• Excel (spreadsheets) for data cleaning, sorting, pivot tables and basic visualisation.
