Country Manager - Internet Service Provider (Nigeria)

A leading global technology company providing internet products and digital solutions across emerging markets is hiring a Country Manager to lead its Nigeria operations. The role covers business growth, local team leadership and market strategy, and suits an experienced leader with a background in the internet or technology industry.

Key responsibilities

• Lead internet business development in the local market, covering user operations, sales expansion and advertising, and set country-level strategies, sales and user growth goals and KPIs.
• Adapt products, operations, content and marketing to local users, habits, culture and regulations, removing cross-border barriers and improving user stickiness.
• Recruit, train, assess and manage local teams, and set up management systems and workflows.
• Build relationships with local platforms, media, partners, institutional clients and industry associations.
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, and monitor data and market trends to refine strategy.
• Report regularly to global/regional headquarters and coordinate cross-border collaboration.

Required profile

• Native citizen of the target country (Nigeria).
• 5+ years in the internet industry, with a core background in user operations or sales.
• 5+ years of team management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or above.
• Fluent in the local official language and proficient in written and spoken English.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem solving, execution and pressure resistance.
