Regional Service Engineer - Ondo

About the role

Jaza is looking for a Regional Service Engineer (RSE) to manage a team of Field Service Engineers (FSE) and oversee technical operations at the regional level. The focus is keeping technical systems running so that sites and hubs have uninterrupted power and optimal energy uptime. The role requires significant travel within Nigeria, as Jaza is expanding and building hubs across the South-West states, with hubs currently in Edo State.

Key responsibilities

• Direct FSEs in setting up new hubs, ensuring seamless connectivity and carrying out regular maintenance of hub energy systems
• Lead and coach FSEs on best practices through regular training and professional development
• Review FSE reports on hub energy performance and technical issues, and collate monthly reports for management
• Prepare and share monthly performance review reports on power availability
• Work with Jaza Stars, Regional Coordinators, the NOC data team and FSEs to diagnose and resolve technical challenges
• Report directly to the Technical Manager

Required profile

• Minimum of 6 years of technical or engineering leadership experience in the telecommunications/energy industry or related fields
• Strong proven expertise in energy and solar systems; education is secondary to hands-on experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and HSE compliance
• Ability to work independently and in a team, in a fast-paced environment
