Corporate Learning & Development Officer

About the role

Our boutique consulting firm on Lagos Island is seeking a Corporate Learning & Development Officer to design and deliver training solutions that enhance client capabilities across key sectors such as Power, Oil & Gas, Financial Services and Manufacturing. The role combines curriculum development, business development and client relationship management to drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop curricula and learning solutions for corporate clients across multiple sectors.
• Coordinate delivery of courses in virtual or physical formats, ensuring timely and on‑scope execution.
• Conduct training needs analyses, surveys and research to keep offerings aligned with evolving client requirements.
• Lead business development activities at executive level, building and deepening B2B relationships.
• Prepare proposals, performance reports and track key performance indicators such as profit margin and turnaround time.

Required profile

• HR or related degree with a 2:1 or first class from a top‑tier university; additional professional qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of Learning & Development experience, including curriculum development and B2B sales at executive level.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering compliance training on schedule.
• Excellent business writing, presentation and verbal communication skills.
• Strong networking ability and experience in Financial Services, Technology or Energy sectors; board‑level training experience is advantageous.
