Corporate Lawyer – Credit & Banking Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Lawyer to join our legal team and support the credit and banking functions of our agricultural technology business. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and managing a range of credit‑related documents while ensuring compliance with Nigerian law.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and manage loan agreements, security instruments, guarantees and other credit documentation.
• Apply and interpret Nigerian banking, finance and credit laws, including BOFIA, CAMA, AML/CFT and data protection regulations.
• Coordinate perfection of security interests, including CAC filings, property registry submissions and stamp duty payments.
• Assess credit risk, support recovery processes and enforce security interests when required.
• Collaborate with credit, risk, operations and compliance teams to balance legal risk with business objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant legal experience.
• Law degree from a recognized institution.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle large volumes of documentation accurately.
• Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
