Cook – Food Preparation & Kitchen Operations

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Cook to join our kitchen team in Port Harcourt. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of menu items while maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Wash, chop, peel, and portion ingredients; weigh, measure, and mix according to standardized recipes.
• Apply cooking methods such as boiling, baking, grilling, roasting, and frying to produce proteins, vegetables, and other dishes.
• Arrange, garnish, and dress plates to meet aesthetic standards before service.
• Organise work stations, clean and sanitize equipment and surfaces before, during, and after shifts.
• Monitor storage temperatures, prevent cross‑contamination, and ensure food safety compliance.
• Track inventory, report shortages, and assist with ordering supplies.
• Collaborate with line cooks, sous chefs, and kitchen helpers to fulfil orders quickly and accommodate dietary restrictions.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: Vocational certificate.
• At least 12 months of experience in a similar kitchen role.

• Basic inventory management.
