Contract Manager - Oil & Gas

About the role

Felton Energy Services Limited (FESL), an indigenous Nigerian oil and gas engineering company founded in 2017, is hiring a Contract Manager. The role oversees the full contract lifecycle for oil and gas and energy projects, from initial drafting to close-out. It is a full-time, on-site position in Nigeria, working closely with project management, procurement, legal and finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and negotiate contracts and service agreements, ensuring compliance with company policies, local regulations and industry standards.
• Monitor contract performance, manage variations and claims, and track milestones and deliverables.
• Maintain accurate contract documentation.
• Support risk assessments and take part in tender and bid processes.
• Advise internal stakeholders on contract terms and help resolve contract issues with customers, suppliers and partners.

Required profile

• 6-7 years of experience as a contract manager in the oil and gas, energy or industrial engineering sectors, with familiarity with EPC and maintenance project environments.
• Bachelor's degree in law, business, engineering or a related field; contract management or project management certifications are an advantage.
• Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practices for contracts, compliance and risk management.

Required skills

• Strong contract management skills: drafting, review, negotiation and administration of commercial and technical agreements.
• Proficiency in standard office productivity tools and contract management software.
• Analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills, and strong communication and organisational abilities.
