Compressor Technician (CNG Fuelling Station)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Compressor Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team at a CNG fuelling station in Lagos. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable and continuous operation of CNG compressors and related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections and monitor operating parameters of compressors and auxiliary equipment.
• Execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, including lubrication, cooling and gas‑processing system upkeep.
• Diagnose faults, replace worn components (filters, seals, gaskets, valves, belts) and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Commission, shutdown and start‑up equipment as required.
• Calibrate and maintain pressure gauges, transmitters, temperature sensors, flow meters and safety devices.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports and spare‑parts inventory.
• Adhere to HSSE policies, conduct safety inspections and participate in emergency drills.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of hands‑on experience with CNG compressors or similar industrial compressor systems.
• HND or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely with high‑pressure gas equipment.
