Compliance Officer – Regulatory & AML Specialist

About the role

The Compliance Officer will ensure Rex Microfinance Bank meets all regulatory obligations, focusing on SEC licensing, AML/CFT and KYC compliance across its products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Support the SEC licensing and registration process for RexBase.
• Monitor compliance with SEC, AML/CFT and other regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
• Oversee customer KYC/KYB and AML compliance.
• Maintain regulatory filings, compliance registers and statutory records.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise management.
• Liaise with regulators and support inspections and audits.
• Conduct periodic compliance reviews and staff training.
• Collaborate with Operations, Product and Technology teams to embed compliance.
• Provide compliance support to RexCredit as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or related field.
• Minimum four years of post‑graduation experience in compliance, risk, legal or regulatory affairs.
• Experience with SEC‑regulated capital market operators, fintech, banks or similar institutions preferred.
• Eligibility to be registered as an SEC Sponsored Individual.
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, CIS, CIBN, ICAN are an advantage.

• Anti‑Money‑Laundering (AML) and Counter‑Financing of Terrorism (CFT) expertise.
• Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) procedures.
