Community Engagement Officer

About the role

The Community Engagement Officer will represent Rightliving Health Foundation in the community, promoting health awareness and preventive care. You will work directly with schools, churches, companies and other groups to deliver health education and outreach programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and secure venues for health sensitisation programmes across Ibadan and Oyo State.
• Plan, coordinate and implement community health awareness campaigns and outreach activities.
• Deliver health education presentations, wellness seminars and fitness talks to diverse audiences.
• Promote the Foundation’s health maintenance services and educate clients on preventive healthcare.
• Build and maintain relationships with partner organisations and prospective clients.
• Conduct market research to identify expansion opportunities for programmes and services.
• Assist in developing health maintenance policies, procedures and educational materials.
• Prepare reports, maintain accurate records and support data collection for programme evaluation.
• Create simple health education materials and promotional content using Canva, PowerPoint or similar tools.
• Support digital awareness campaigns through email marketing and social media platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Mass Communication or a related field.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
• Good organisational and time‑management capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail, Forms).
• Basic computer and data‑entry skills.
• Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint or Canva for presentations.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X) for health awareness campaigns.
