Communications Specialist (Remote)

About the role

Rethink Priorities is seeking a Communications Specialist to help translate research findings into clear, actionable messages for decision‑makers and the public. Working remotely, you will partner with the Senior Communications Strategy Manager to amplify the organization’s impact across a variety of external audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute media relations strategies to secure coverage in relevant outlets.
• Produce concise briefs, press releases, and policy summaries that highlight research outcomes.
• Analyze the impact of communication campaigns and adjust tactics accordingly.
• Engage with stakeholders, policymakers, and industry influencers to build and maintain relationships.
• Support the senior manager in coordinating cross‑departmental communication initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of professional experience in communications, public affairs, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to craft messages for diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset for evaluating communication effectiveness.
• Excellent written and verbal English skills.
