Commission Sales Associate

About the role

The Commission Sales Associate will work full‑time on‑site in Benin City, driving sales of Atiodes Solar System’s solar lights, lithium batteries and custom solar solutions. The role focuses on prospecting, presenting, and closing sales on a commission basis while providing basic after‑sales support.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential residential, commercial and community customers.
• Present suitable solar solutions, explain product features, pricing and benefits.
• Conduct product demonstrations and provide basic after‑sales support.
• Follow up on leads, maintain relationships with existing customers and generate repeat business.
• Collaborate with technical and operations teams to prepare accurate quotations and ensure timely delivery.
• Participate in local marketing activities and field events.
• Report sales performance and pipeline regularly to management.

Required profile

• Strong sales and negotiation abilities with experience in commission‑based or target‑driven roles.
• Customer service and relationship‑management skills to build trust and retain clients.
• Basic knowledge of solar or electrical products, or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Effective communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively and handle multiple leads.
• Comfortable using smartphones and basic digital tools for lead tracking, communication and reporting.
• Minimum secondary school education; vocational or tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or engineering are a plus.
