Commercial Workshop Manager

About the role

We are seeking a results‑driven Commercial Workshop Manager to lead our automotive service centre, grow fleet and corporate partnerships, and ensure smooth workshop operations. The role balances revenue generation with operational excellence in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Drive weekly vehicle intake to meet gross‑margin targets and increase average ticket through upselling and premium services.
• Acquire and manage fleet and corporate accounts (ride‑hailing, logistics, taxi, corporate clients).
• Supervise the shop floor via the Operations & Parts Supervisor, tracking technician productivity (90‑95% target) and enforcing accountability.
• Maintain quality control, keep comeback rates below 5%, and manage parts inventory and turnaround times.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures consistently.
• Prepare weekly KPI dashboards (cars in/out, gross margin, technician utilisation, comeback rate, cash reconciliation, fleet pipeline) and monthly financial reports with projections.

Required profile

• Proven track record running a workshop with at least ₦5 M monthly gross margin.
• Experience in fleet acquisition and corporate sales within the automotive sector.
• Strong leadership, data‑driven mindset, and ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Basic financial literacy covering margins, cash flow, and revenue tracking.
