Commercial Operations Manager

About the role

WTS Energy is looking for a Commercial Operations Manager to lead the commercial function across its oil & gas and infrastructure projects. The role will provide strategic leadership, optimise value and cost, ensure contractual and regulatory compliance, and support sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end commercial leadership for marginal field development, brownfield modifications and EPC/EPCM scopes.
• Identify new commercial opportunities, develop business cases and secure approvals for inter‑company billing.
• Advise senior management on commercial strategy, modelling and risk mitigation to maximise value.
• Drive lifecycle costing and value‑engineering initiatives to optimise design and execution.
• Establish strategic cost‑planning frameworks aligned with capital allocation and cash‑flow priorities.
• Lead change‑management processes, including evaluation, negotiation and formalisation of variations and compensation events.
• Support dispute‑resolution activities such as mediation, adjudication and arbitration with robust contractual input.
• Administer EPC, EPCM, consultancy and service contracts under FIDIC and bespoke forms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or related field; MBA highly recommended.
• 8–10 years of experience in commercial operations, bid management or proposal development within industrial automation, energy or engineering services.
• Strong commercial and cost‑governance expertise, risk management and contingency planning.
• Proven experience in contract strategy, administration, claims management and dispute resolution.
• Knowledge of inter‑company billing, cost allocation and procurement advisory.
