Optical Sales Representative

About the role

A leading ophthalmic optics company based in Port Harcourt is hiring a Sales Representative. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience as a Sales Representative, Customer Service Representative or Clinic Manager, and good knowledge of prescription lenses and frames. An optometrist certification is an added advantage.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and follow up business leads, research accounts and pursue sales opportunities for Essilor Luxottica products by cold calling, direct email and other lead generation activities.
• Develop scripts and implement new sales initiatives, strategies and programs to reach key demographics.
• Visit clinics and optical shops, meet customers and build long-term relationships.
• Organize periodic information sessions for eye care practitioners to promote the brand.
• Report daily on field sales activities, challenges and successes, and share VOC data with the commercial director.
• Analyze sales statistics to identify sales potential, inventory needs and customer preferences, and contribute to weekly and monthly sales forecasts.
• Achieve assigned sales targets, maintain and expand the client database and ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sales Representative, Customer Service Representative or Clinic Manager.
• Good knowledge of prescription lenses and frames; an optometrist certification is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.

What we offer

• Budget of NGN 220,000 - 230,000 net per month, open to negotiation depending on experience.
• NGN 100,000 monthly allowance for transportation to clients.
