Collections & Verification Officer

About the role

The Collections & Verification Officer will ensure the accuracy of loan applicant information and support the recovery of overdue loan repayments for Beamer Bank.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct physical verification of customers, businesses, addresses and assets linked to loan applications.
• Visit customer locations to validate information and assess business conditions.
• Follow up with customers on outstanding and overdue loan repayments through calls, visits and messages.
• Maintain accurate records of verification and collection activities and report inconsistencies or potential fraud.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements within approved guidelines and escalate high‑risk accounts.

Required profile

• Minimum OND in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in collections, loan recovery, credit, field verification, micro‑finance or fintech.
• Strong communication, negotiation and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts and travel within assigned locations.
