Chinese Translator

About the role

We are looking for a proficient Chinese Translator to support client reception, order follow‑up and daily external communications for our manufacturing operations in Nigeria. The role combines language expertise with sales and operational support, offering a dynamic environment within an international machinery company.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the manager in receiving visiting clients and accompany them on site visits to strengthen business relationships.
• Track customer orders from placement through delivery, ensuring timely updates between sales, assembly line and clients.
• Handle daily external communications with local partners, government agencies, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Support the daily operations of the local office, warehouse and assembly line to maintain smooth business flow.
• Generate and close self‑initiated sales orders, earning attractive commission on successful deals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in food‑processing machinery, electrical appliances, mechanical equipment or related sectors.
• HSK Level 4 or above, with Chinese study experience in China strongly preferred.
• Completed NYSC with full discharge certificate.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organisational and time‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
