Chinese to English Translator

About the role

The Chinese Translator will work within Hongxing Steel Company's documentation team to convert Chinese technical and business content into clear, accurate English. This full‑time, on‑site role supports production managers and clients by ensuring language consistency across all materials.

Key responsibilities

• Translate documents, articles, reports, and multimedia content from Chinese to English.
• Proofread and edit translations for grammar, clarity, and style.
• Collaborate with team members and clients to clarify terminology and context.
• Use translation tools to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Research industry‑specific terminology and ensure technical accuracy.
• Align translations with industry standards and client preferences.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of professional experience as a Chinese translator.
• BSc degree in Chinese Language or related field.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and native‑level proficiency in English.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities in English.
• Excellent attention to detail and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SDL Trados.
• Familiarity with MemoQ.
• Familiarity with Wordfast.
