Chinese-English Interpreter

About the role

We are looking for a Chinese‑English interpreter to facilitate real‑time communication between Chinese technical supervisors and local workshop staff at our manufacturing facility in Abeokuta, Nigeria. The role ensures accurate transmission of technical instructions, safety warnings and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oral interpretation between Chinese supervisors and English‑speaking workers during daily operations.
• Translate technical instructions, operating procedures, safety warnings and quality requirements accurately.
• Assist with routine administrative communications such as leave requests and tool collection.

Required profile

• Nigerian national with legal right to work in Nigeria.
• Fluent spoken Mandarin and English with strong listening comprehension.
• Preferably prior interpreting experience in a workshop, factory or engineering setting.
• Responsible, patient, good teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Mandarin (Chinese) fluency.
• English fluency.
