Childcare Supervisor

About the role

The Childcare Supervisor will lead a team of caregivers to provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants and toddlers. This full‑time position focuses on high‑quality care, record‑keeping, and parent communication within a vibrant preschool setting.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality supervision and care for infants and toddlers.
• Support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through age‑appropriate activities.
• Assist with feeding, sleeping, toileting, and hygiene routines.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized childcare environment.
• Supervise and mentor junior caregivers and assistants.
• Keep accurate records of attendance, feeding, sleeping, medication, and incidents.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and guardians.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• OND, NCE, or equivalent qualification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Nursing, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a crèche, nursery, daycare, or similar childcare setting.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of child development and best practices in childcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and record‑keeping abilities.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and passionate about working with children.
