Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Founder-Level Leadership Opportunity

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Chief Operating Officer to join our founder team in Kano, Nigeria. This is a hands‑on, office‑based leadership position for a builder who thrives on turning potential into execution across a fast‑growing ecosystem of business, trade, technology, e‑commerce, logistics, investment and strategic partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations and ensure seamless execution across all functional areas.
• Activate, expand and manage partner networks to unlock new opportunities.
• Drive business development initiatives and growth strategies.
• Recruit, motivate and manage high‑performance teams.
• Design and implement operational systems, accountability structures and performance metrics.
• Collaborate directly with the Founder and CEO to shape regional and international expansion.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 + years of senior leadership or operational management experience.
• Proven track record of building organisations, divisions or large‑scale projects from the ground up.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results and scale high‑performing teams.
• Strong business development, partnership and organisational growth experience.
• Extensive professional, business or government networks.
• Exceptional communication, leadership and negotiation capabilities.
• High energy, discipline, resilience and a relentless hunger to win.
