CCTV Surveillance Officer

About the role

Dangote Industries Limited is looking for a CCTV Surveillance Officer for its Ibese Plant. The role keeps the plant's CCTV system running and watching for security breaches, with 24x7x365 monitoring of camera output.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the output of all CCTV cameras 24x7x365 and raise alerts or escalate any security breach or potential breach.
• Check that all cameras are operational and report non-functional ones to the supervisor; log incidents and request repairs.
• Ensure recording backup is available for 30 days and that all cameras are recording; report faults to the line manager.
• Watch the monitor for suspicious movement and gaps in perimeter fencing or walls.
• Keep records of people entering the control room and of incidents identified.
• Complete pending tasks when taking over from the previous shift and clarify any changes in layout or new construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a reputable institution.
• At least 3 years of experience in CCTV maintenance or operations within a manufacturing organization.

Required skills

• Attention to detail and alertness to unusual activity around the plant.
• Report writing and good communication skills.
• Ability to maintain CCTV equipment is an added advantage.
