CCTV Operator

About the role

The CCTV Operator will monitor live video feeds, alarms and access control systems to ensure the safety and security of Kenex Konsults International’s facilities in Port Harcourt. You will act as the first line of defence, detecting and reporting any suspicious activity or security breach.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor multiple CCTV cameras, surveillance systems, alarms and related security equipment.
• Identify and report suspicious activities, safety risks, or security breaches promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, incident reports and surveillance records.
• Coordinate with security personnel, management and emergency response teams when required.
• Verify authorized entry and exit through access control systems.
• Review recorded footage during investigations.
• Ensure CCTV equipment functions correctly and report technical faults.
• Support emergency response procedures and uphold confidentiality of all surveillance information.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE qualification (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience as a CCTV Operator, Control Room Operator or similar role.
• Strong observation skills and ability to stay calm during emergencies.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CCTV systems and surveillance operations.
• Experience using security monitoring software.
• Knowledge of access control systems.
• Basic computer operation skills.
