Cash Officer

About the role

The Cash Officer will oversee cash operations within the branch, ensuring accurate handling, security, and compliance with banking policies. This role is critical for maintaining the integrity of cash flow and supporting the branch’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate cash receipts and payments within the branch.
• Manage vault cash and teller cash limits in accordance with policy.
• Monitor daily cash positions and cash movement activities.
• Ensure cash balancing and reconciliation at the close of business.
• Verify the authenticity of cash deposits and withdrawals.
• Coordinate cash evacuation and cash supply activities.
• Monitor ATM cash loading and reconciliation where applicable.
• Investigate and resolve cash discrepancies.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 2-4 years of banking operations experience.
• Strong knowledge of cash handling procedures and cash management.
• High numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Integrity, accountability, and risk management awareness.
