Business Relationship Manager – Remote (Abia, Nigeria)

About the role

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Business Relationship Manager to drive merchant acquisition and business growth across Nigeria. The role is fully remote but requires residency in Abia State.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and acquire new merchants through cold calling, networking and social media.
• Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to meet targets.
• Conduct daily sales team meetings, review performance and plan weekly activities.
• Maintain and grow existing business relationships.
• Perform market research to uncover opportunities and assess customer needs.
• Participate in trade fairs, community events and cluster marketing activities.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations to prospects.
• Gather customer feedback and relay insights to internal teams.
• Recommend suitable financial products based on client objectives.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of sales experience, preferably in banking, fintech or related sectors.
• Strong understanding of the local financial services industry.
• Experience onboarding and managing merchants, with a network of enterprise merchants being a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and achieve goals with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and a tertiary education from a recognised institution.
• Must be a resident of Abia State, Nigeria.
